Data Entry & Voucher Photo Upload

Data Entry - Options

There are several options for volunteers to submit data for this project; please submit all data within a week of collection if possible - this enables us to better direct other survey efforts in the area!

1)  All GPS files will need to be submitted by e-mail.  If you are unsure of how to download files from your GPS, consult the instructions for your GPS make/model - many instructions are available on the internet. Please be sure to send us both waypoint and tracklog files if they are recorded separately. We require waypoint files - tracklogs are optional but quite helpful!

2)  If you are completing printed datasheets in the field, you have 3 options to submit them:
  • Scan and e-mail the file.
  • Take a photograph (jpg format) of the datasheet with a cell phone or other digital camera, and submit via e-mail (or) to the photo upload site (see link to right).  You are welcome to use a pdf converter - there are many good pdf converter apps (several for free) for smart phones that use the camera on your phone.
  • Mail the original paper copy to us at the address provided here.

*PLEASE submit your datasheets & associated files as soon as possible after your survey!  We are unable to account for your survey effort unless we have completed datasheets and associated GPS (coordinate) files and photograph vouchers.  Please submit all data files immediately as you complete surveys (electronically via your phone, when possible), or as soon as you return home from conducting surveys.

Please be sure to follow instructions so that we can:
1) link your voucher photos to associated field data, and
2) give you proper credit if we use your photo(s) in publications/presentations associated with this project!

You must be registered with the project to receive the password required to upload photos!  To become a volunteer, please read the volunteer information and agreement.
